Privacy Policy

1. Who We Are; Scope

This Privacy Policy describes how RETPAIR LLC, which operates the technology platform and provides the services offered through the eWaste Warriors program (a program of the Tech Care Association), collects, uses, and shares information when you use our website, booking platform, and services. Our services are available only to individuals at least eighteen (18) years of age; we do not knowingly collect personal information from minors.

2. Information We Collect

• Contact and order information: name, email address, phone number, and pickup address.
• Device information: device descriptions, serial numbers where provided, service selections, and notes you submit.
• Custody documentation: photographs taken to document chain of custody, which may incidentally capture a doorstep or home exterior.
• Payment information: processed by our payment processor (Stripe); we never store full card numbers.
• Communications: emails, texts, and messages exchanged with us about your order.

Unless you request a data recovery or similar data-access service, we do not access, copy, or retain the contents of data stored on devices you submit. Devices designated for data wiping or destruction are processed without accessing your files except as strictly necessary to perform the service you selected.

3. How We Use Information

We use information to provide and coordinate the services you request; process payments; send order-status communications; maintain chain-of-custody and service records; prevent fraud; comply with law; and improve our operations. Aggregate, non-identifying impact metrics (for example, total devices processed) may be reported publicly.

4. Text Messages

By providing your mobile phone number, you agree that RETPAIR may send you transactional text messages related to your order, including pickup coordination, driver updates, service status, completion notices, and other operational communications. Message and data rates may apply. Reply STOP to stop receiving text messages, although doing so may prevent us from providing certain services that rely on text communication. We do not send marketing text messages without separate express written consent.

5. How We Share Information

We do not sell personal information, and we do not share it for third-party advertising. We share information only with service providers who process it on our behalf, with professional advisors, and where required by law, to protect rights and safety, or in connection with a business transfer. Our service providers, by category:

• Payments: Stripe.
• Hosting and infrastructure: Supabase (database), Vercel (application hosting).
• Communications: Resend (transactional email), Twilio (text messaging).
• Device Processing Services: We use third-party service providers to perform device diagnostics, testing, sanitization, and processing. These providers may process device identifiers (such as serial numbers or IMEI numbers), diagnostic results, sanitization logs, lock status, and related service records on our behalf. Current providers include Phonecheck and TechReuse.

6. Retention

RETPAIR retains records only as long as reasonably necessary for operational, legal, tax, fraud-prevention, or dispute-resolution purposes. RETPAIR may preserve records, custody photographs, communications, and processing logs as reasonably necessary to comply with legal obligations, respond to disputes, investigate fraud, or protect legal rights.

7. Your Choices and Rights

You may request access to, correction of, or deletion of your contact information by writing to hello@ewastewarriors.org. We will honor requests except where retention is required for the purposes described in Section 6. Certain state privacy rights may not apply if RETPAIR is exempt under applicable law.

8. International Visitors

RETPAIR is committed to protecting your privacy. We collect and process your information solely for the purpose of fulfilling the requested services. We do not sell your personal data. Our full privacy practices are available in our Privacy Policy.

9. Security

We use reasonable administrative, technical, and physical safeguards appropriate to the nature of the information, including database-level access controls. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure.

10. Changes; Contact
